Vastfire LED Light

I have a standing weeknight evening social mountain bike ride, and as we’re at the bottom of the world, winter rides after work mean we need some serious lights. As chief internet shopper and gear junkie on the team, it was my role to find lighting solutions that would not require taking out a second mortgage. Don’t get me wrong, I love my glow-worm setup on my helmet and it was worth the high price-point, but, not everyone wants to spend big money to get out there.

I didn’t have too much hope in finding something good at a low price point. I tried a few cheap lights and found the battery died quickly and they were not bright enough to send it down technical trails. I was genuinely stunned to find this beauty.

With 11 LED’s it is obnoxiously bright on its lowest setting. On it’s highest setting it brings daylight to the earth in the middle of a rainy night in a forest while hurtling down a muddy single-trail. I am not exaggerating. One of my favorite features is that the battery indicator gives you time in hours and minutes, not percentage. I have been riding with mine once per week for a month, and it seems accurate. on the low setting it indicates 7 hours riding. I’ve not charged it fully since it arrived and it holds charge well. I would recommend this light without the commission. It’s an epic bit of kit that beats the high-end competitors.

If you want to one, please use this link so I can earn a small commission and keep buying and testing more gear, getting into the wild, and finding you the gear to fuel your adventures and go further faster:
